Can Java and Bedrock players play together?

By default, Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition use different networking protocols and account systems. A cross-play bridge makes shared multiplayer possible. Cube Survival uses Geyser to translate Bedrock connections and Floodgate to represent Bedrock identities safely on the Java-based network.

This means a Java player on PC and a Bedrock player on a supported phone, tablet, or computer can enter the same survival world. Exact platform support can vary because some console editions limit the ability to add external servers.

Geyser + FloodgateTranslates and identifies
Paper worldShares the same community

What stays the same

Both editions share the world, chat environment, community standards, builds, land protection, and the core survival experience. A claimed base remains protected regardless of which supported edition its owner uses. Website accounts can be connected to the in-game identity through a one-time command.

What may feel different

Cross-play does not make the two clients identical. Bedrock menus, movement, combat input, inventory behavior, chat controls, and visual rendering can differ from Java Edition. Some Java-oriented plugin interfaces may be represented differently for Bedrock players. These differences are normal and should be considered when troubleshooting.
